Java Edition 26.3 · Bedrock 26.30–26.52
No client mods or website account required.

Server online. External Java and Bedrock connection checks passed. Actual PS5 and Switch joining still awaits a player test.

Java Edition

mc.byteserver.app
  1. Open Java Edition 26.3.
  2. Choose Multiplayer → Add Server.
  3. Enter mc.byteserver.app, save, and join.

The copy button copies text; it does not launch Minecraft.

Mobile & Bedrock on PC

Address: mc.byteserver.app
Port: 19132 (UDP)

  1. Update to a supported Bedrock version shown above.
  2. Choose Play → Servers → Add Server.
  3. Enter the address and port, then join with your Microsoft account.

PlayStation 5

Awaiting a test on an actual PS5.

  1. Sign in to Minecraft with your linked Microsoft account and enable cross-platform multiplayer. Have the required PlayStation Plus access.
  2. Save your current DNS settings. On PS5, open Settings → Network → Settings → Set Up Internet Connection → your network → Advanced Settings → DNS Settings → Manual.
  3. Set Primary DNS to 45.55.68.52 and Secondary DNS to 8.8.8.8, following BedrockConnect's current guide. Test the connection.
  4. In Minecraft → Servers, join a redirect-compatible featured server such as Mineville or Lifeboat to open the custom-server list.
  5. Save mc.byteserver.app, port 19132, then join. The saved entry can be reused.

Fallback: use a phone on the same LAN with a compatible companion app from Geyser's console guide, such as MCCompanion. Add the address and port, start broadcasting, keep the app running, and look under Minecraft's Friends/LAN games. Restore Automatic DNS if custom DNS disrupts other services.

Nintendo Switch

Awaiting a test on an actual Switch.

  1. Sign in to your Nintendo and Microsoft accounts and enable multiplayer. Nintendo Switch Online is required for online play.
  2. Follow BedrockConnect's current Switch guide: System Settings → Internet → your network → Change Settings → DNS Settings → Manual.
  3. Use Primary DNS 104.238.130.180 and Secondary DNS 8.8.8.8, as listed in that guide. Record the old settings so you can restore Automatic DNS. If blocked, use an alternative DNS-enabled instance listed by the project.
  4. Open Minecraft → Servers and select a redirect-compatible featured server such as Mineville or Lifeboat to open the custom-server list.
  5. Add mc.byteserver.app with port 19132, save it, and connect.

No companion phone is needed for the DNS method. Fallback: a Switch-compatible companion app from Geyser's guide. Phantom does not support Switch.

Optional Java minimaps

Xaero's Minimap and Xaero's World Map are optional Java client mods. Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 26.3, Fabric API 0.164.0+26.3, Xaero’s Minimap 26.6.1 (fabric-26.3), and Xaero’s World Map 1.47.1 (fabric-26.3), from their official project pages. Place the mod JARs in your client’s mods folder. These releases declare matching compatibility; actual client launch is awaiting verification. Install on your own client, never in the server plugins directory. Console players do not receive the same HUD minimap.

Having trouble?

Wrong version: Java uses 26.3; Bedrock uses the supported range above. Console updates can temporarily require a server update.

Not whitelisted: ask the owner to check your exact username and edition. Bedrock names may use a server-side prefix.

Cannot connect: check the address and Bedrock port. A console also needs its joining workaround, permitted multiplayer, and any required online subscription. Companion apps must stay running on the same LAN; guest Wi-Fi isolation can block discovery.

Works at home only: the owner must verify router forwarding and external TCP/UDP reachability. This website does not carry Minecraft traffic. Opening it alone cannot connect a console.
